Hand Written Recipe
Tamil Bahrim Sambar
Red gram/Toor dal-1kg
Onions- 2
Tomato- 2
Fenugreek seeds- 1spoon
Cayenne pepper- 6
Coriander seeds- 1tspoon
Asafetida- 1/2spoon
Mixed Vegetables- 2 or 3
Turmeric- ½tspoon
Tamarind- Lemon size
Salt- for taste
Oil- 1tspoon
Ghee- 1tspoon
Take a bowl on the stove with some oil.
seasoning with fenugreek seeds, cayenne pepper, asafetida, cumin seeds.
Add some sliced tomato pieces and onion pieces to the same seasoned bowl and fry for some times grind the whole ingredients.
Take some water in a bowl and add turmeric, salt, mixed vegetables and boil it.
Now add the tamarind juice and the first grinded ingredients to it
Now add the boiled Red gram to it and stir the entire mix thoroughly.
Make the mix to boil till the liquid comes out
Now add some coriander leaves and add the seasoning of mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and asafetida and curry leaves.
